Since being here in Guatemala, I have been praying for a heart and spirit boldness and confidence. I have been praying that God will alter my thoughts that are filled with insecurities and actions that are executed with timidity and change them to only think and act through His truths.
I have been so convicted by Him lately. I never knew that I had allowed the devil to plant these thoughts inside of me and I never noticed the effects that my thoughts had on my actions.
Here is a letter that was written a few nights ago during a quiet time that I felt God was speaking over me. My hope is that through my vulnerability God will address this letter specifically to you in one aspect or another.
To My Favorite Daughter:
Why do you allow thoughts of insecurity and fear to roam about in the mind that was created by my hands? Why are you giving power to our enemy- power that he doesn’t even have? I have created you and you are mine. I have chosen and appointed you to bear fruits that stem from my tree. All that you do, do through me.
I have given you all you have so it is illogical to be insecure of these gifts and fruits that aren’t even yours to begin with. They are mine but I want you to have them. I want you to join me in bringing love to this broken world and you need to be confident in the gifts I have given you if you are going to do this efficiently. I want you and have chosen you to sit at my right hand. I will give you all you need. You need only to place your complete trust in me.
All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go… And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age. I will be with you through it all. I will continually provide you with fruits, I will always give you gifts, I will always be your father.
Trust in me to be your provider when your own actions fail, your words when yours are not sufficient, your thoughts when yours run awry, your comforter when you are fearful, your rock when your ground falls beneath you, and your shield to protect you from your thoughts.
Place all of your value in me because I have placed all of mine in you. Do you understand the sacrifice I have made for you? I love you so much that I gave my only son for you. Is that not enough to make you believe that I love you, care for you, and want you to have a beautiful life?
Don’t allow yourself to believe anything other than my truth.
Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For I am with you wherever you go.
