I have the craziest news to share with you!
I AM FULLY FUNDED FOR MY WORLD RACE!
For the past nine months, my life has been filled with fundraising. Nearly $14k doesn’t automatically fill your account when you decide to trust God to provide for you.
After fundraising for my mission trip to Russia last summer and seeing God work through my community to raise that money, I knew I was capable and that God was more than capable to provide for my World Race. When I began my fundraising journey I had complete and total trust that sooner or later God would provide for me completely. That being said.. I had the trust thing down but patience not so much. I can assure you now that I now have a better grasp on being patient and I wouldn’t have wished my fundraising journey to be any different.
Over these past nine months I have seen God work through me, my community, and my family in so many ways. Every donation that came in taught me a lesson. I received so many donations from so many people therefore I was taught so many lessons… I saw various people who believed in me come together to provide for me. I saw my peers donate to me when all they had was a minimum wage job or babysitting gigs here and there. I saw 3 generous monthly donors support me month in and month out. I saw people that I have never even met support me. I saw my church and it’s staff come together to support me. I saw fellow missionaries support me. I saw close friends support me. I saw my entire family support me. I saw what it was like for all of my people to believe in me so much that they would rather support me than do what was more comfortable. I have needed these months to grow and to become wiser. I now feel equipped to go on this journey with the knowledge I have acquired. So thank you! Not only do I thank you all for your financial support but I also thank you for the lessons you have taught me. These lessons will stay with me for a lifetime.
So I’m fully funded? Yes. How many times do I need to write this for it to stop sounding so surreal to me? I’m not sure so just bear with me for the next few days, weeks, months, years?!
Ever since I was accepted into this program it has seemed like such a distant thing. But being completely funded makes it seem so near and so real. This past month it has become more aware to me that this is actually happening! The teammates I have met and have talked to aren’t just random super cool people they are the people who I will minister people in Guatemala, Lesotho, and Cambodia next to. The money that I have been so passionate about raising is actually going to enable me to do this. The fun equipment (tent, sleeping bag, backpack, etc. etc.) that I have been collecting aren’t only for random adventures around Georgetown, they are going to build and fill my little home. I am feeling more and more equipped to leave on this 9 month journey. I now have 100% of the funds and 100% of my gear!! I am completely prepared for this and this is really happening!!
I can not wait to update you in just two short months on all of the amazing things God is going to be doing in and around me thanks to your support.
I am so grateful for you all.
