The past 5 months my mind has been consumed with the fact that I have to raise nearly $14,000. There are moments when I absolutely love this phase of my mission and moments when I begin to doubt my capabilities.
For example, I love seeing others with the same passion of making disciples of all nations and giving them an opportunity to support our shared passion. But with this passion comes attacks. I absolutely hate when I am a victim of the devil, and when I allow myself to be affected by the devil’s lies that make me insecure and afraid about raising support.
This month in Children’s Church we have been teaching the preschoolers about Jesus’ miracles. We have taught them about how Jesus calmed a raging storm, how he fed 5,000 people with limited supplies, how he walked on water, and many others. Every Sunday as class ends we remind the children that only Jesus can do something that amazing and we say our memory verse from Matthew 19, “With God all things are possible.”
After 4 weeks of teaching this lesson, it hit me that I needed to apply this to my life and believe it for myself. Through God I am capable of reaching full support. It is not by my own actions, but it will be by my complete and absolute trust that God will provide for me. With God, raising support is possible!
