I have been off the Race for 1 month and 10 days, now, and I finally feel like NOW is the beginning of settlingdown. Nothing in my schedule has been consistent since 2012. NOTHING. Until now.

Well, that’s what I’m hoping for, anyway. Even though I have been off the Race for a time, I’ve still been running around, without an agenda–Christmas parties, New Year’s parties, meeting up with supporters, seeing friends, going to Project Searchlight…

But now…“now” is so exciting! I’m ready to start my next chapter. The details and practical aspects of the next steps are yet to be revealed, but I’m getting closer to being sure of my calling and direction. I’ll keep you posted on that.

For this post, though–perhaps my final post on the World Race website, I want to share with you my 2014 New Year’s Resolutions:

1. Blog twice a month. (I am going to try to go back to the blog I had in 2010. Join me as I attempt to rekindle my joy for writing and share my life? Web address to come soon!)

2. Commit 10 minutes of solid, quality time with God, daily.

3. Cook more 🙂

4. Observe the Sabbath–rest in the way that I feel rested and engage with God in that rest.

5. Get better at being still! Practice solitude and meditation more often.

6. Have my “yes” be yes and my “no” be no–don’t make promises I can’t keep and stick to my word; don’t be flaky or wishy-washy.

7. Learn how to manage my finances well.

8. Learn more about my theme for this year: love.

2014 is going to be a…light year…hehe, not sure why I feel that way. Not quite sure what “light” means.
