Look at my fundraising bar! You see that number? $10,682? That means I am 77.38% funded for my mission trip!
A couple weeks ago, I was feeling very doubtful about fundraising. I had been in a fundraising slump and no donations were coming in. I was talking to people, meeting with people, but nothing. I was feeling very doubtful about having to raise this much money. It was stressing me out and I just wasn’t sure if I could do it or not.
Prayerfully, I received a college scholarship in the form of a donation for this trip. I was stressing about whether or not this scholarship was going to work out and I just gave it up to God and said, “Lord, do what you want with this money. If you want it to go to college, do it. If you want it to go to my World Race, do it. If you don’t want me to have this money, do it.” The Lord decided that He wanted the scholarship money to go to my trip.
When I was feeling so doubtful, He provided.
My World Race mobilizer, Courtney, said it just perfectly. She said, “What I’m continually blown away by with fundraising is God seems to meet us and surprise us the most in the times are faith is lacking the most… It’s like He’s proving He is your provider and the one you should trust. He’s showing off, and it makes us swoon.”
He does make us swoon!
“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40: 28-31
Prayer Requests:
Please pray that I can raise the rest of this money and that I rely on God to provide every penny.
Pray that I finish out high school strong (only 42 school days left, but who’s counting?).
