First of all I want to say thank you so much to those of you who prayed for training camp. I was refreshed and got more out of it than what I had hoped for. The first three to four days we focused on breaking down our self pride, ego and stubbornness, which allowed the Holy Spirit to be a major factor in what made camp so renewing. Ronald Walborn was one of the best speakers I have heard and had great down to earth realness to him, giving many personal experiences of the empowering Holy Spirit. After renewing a passion for Christ we moved into practical applications in third world countries like an African Market. We spent most nights in our own tent; however, went through probable situations that could happen on the field. Some of these situations led to 45 of us sleeping in a bus or having to share tents due to the airports losing our packs. All in all training camp was blessed by God and prepared myself more for this journey than what I had expected.
By the way I was only able to sleep 45 minutes on the bus due to heat and someone’s feet under me!
Psalm 51:10 “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
