Sometimes I imagine a world where this life is the end, where there is no afterlife. In a world like this helping other people would only be logical if done for selfish reasons. People would live for fame and money and in their attempt to live forever they would stop living and become engulfed in their wealth. In a society like this there would only be 2 logical things worth living for. The first would be one’s self; fame, riches, and enjoyment. The second would be the continuation of life; to continue science until one could stay alive forever. Much of our culture seems to live like this. They have nothing worth living for except their own enjoyment. It really is depressing that these people live with no hope what-so-ever but to true atheists this is their truth. Someone once told me that the only things worth living for are things worth dying for, if you have nothing you would die for then you have nothing to live for. In Christ we truly have life, in abundance! Not only does it not end here on earth but even while we are here we actually have something worth dying for, that is the Kingdom of Heaven! It is strange to me that people who have this hope and joy would sort of hide it from the world. Some ‘Christians’ will say “I am not good at preaching” or some reason like that, when in reality they are simply too comfortable to go out and really live for the Kingdom of Heaven and for Christ. I am not good at talking to people, but by all means I will go out and share Gods love for us and His hope and joy somehow. This is what I will live and die for, and this is why I want to go on the World Race.
