This is my team!

Ok, so support raising scared me a little bit. This is my first time raising support, and it hasn't been easy to trust in the Lord through it all. But GOD HAS PROVIDED. Jehovah-Jireh (The Lord will Provide) is what He is referred to as by Abraham in Genesis 22 when He provides a ram to be slaughtered instead of Abraham's son Isaac. I certainly resonate with this when I think of how the Lord has helped with support raising. There have been many generous givers, and I would like to highlight 3 stories of their faithfulness.

1) Before I even sent out my letters and started support raising, a godly woman at Navigators came to me and said she wanted to support my mission trip. She just handed me a check and walked away. And I hadn't even begun the process!

2) Also before I sent out my letters, I spoke on a Friday night at Navs. Part of my talk was about God's power in leading me to world race. The next day, I got a call from a Navs Bible Study leader. He said their study had been collecting money all year with the intention of giving it to a missionary or some other good cause at the end of the year. He informed me that they wanted to give the money to support my world race trip. What a blessing!

3) I was lifting weights at a gym when a personal trainer I knew came up to talk to me. He asked me what I was doing next year, and I very briefly mentioned my world race trip. When the trainer left, the guy on the bench press next to me asked me what my oversees adventures were about. I told him it was a mission trip and a few more details. After 2 minutes of talking, he said, "I would love to support you". I thought, "What??? We just met! You don't know me hardly at all." Just a few days ago, I received a check in my support account of $1,200 from the guy at the gym. CRAZY! JEHOVAH-JIREH.

Whether your battle right now is support raising, sharing your faith boldly, being a godly spouse/parent, or just continuing to pursue the Lord, let me assure you, God Provides.
