Transition has been a steady pattern in my life lately. Everyone talked about how hard transition from race life to american culture would be, but I never thought it would be a big deal to me. The hardest thing was to come back and see how much we hold on to and think we cant live without. I visited so many cultures and lived a very simple life with many of them and they didn’t know they didn’t have washers or candy bars or personal vehicles for every member of the household. If you take some of that away from some of us here we think we will die. We don’t realize how much we have and don’t need and we don’t think about how much others need but don’t have.
God has been constantly walking me through shifting environments and situations and it has kinda left me pretty disoriented lately. I have been in and out of the states, in and out of relationships, and in and out of peoples homes and hearts. More importantly He has been leading me into new places in my walk with Him. Everything is shifting and changing and I feel lost but do you know what’s weird? I love It. I love being turned around. I love all of the chaos He seems to be sending my way because I ran out of ideas of where to go and what to do and He had to take over. I now have the privilege of walking blindly by faith knowing I am entirely in His will for my life. He is guiding every step and every turn. For some people that is terrifying, to be honest it was for me too. That is why God had to send all of these storms in my life to get me disoriented and lost so I have to find Him to get me out. PRAISE GOD FOR THE STORMS!
“I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Oh, praise the greatness of our God! He is the Rock, His works are perfect, and all His ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is He.” Deuteronomy 32:3-4
This blog is to encourage all of you that whatever storm may come, God is faithful and just and He is working for your good. Press into Him because He is taking you to new places.
I also want to say goodbye to this blog and introduce you to my new blog that I will keep during this next season. I have shared many stories and memories on this site and there will be many more shared on the next. Thank you Lord for all that you have done and will continue to do in my life.
