Greetings from the Eagle’s Nest!!

The Eagle’s Nest can be found about 6km outside Vilanculos, Mozambique.  My team and I have been here for two weeks.  We have been staying with Jaco and Maria Rudolph and their two kids Rudo and Maggie.  We are living in a cool house made of reeds right on a nice freshwater lake.

We also have a new member on our team this month.  His name is Michael Black and it has been so awesome having him around to minister with.

We have been busy with a few different things while we have been here.   We got the opportunity to spend a couple days at the orphanage that Jaco is starting up.  Last year after the cyclone many kids were left without parents and homes.  So Jaco is doing his part in helping these amazing kids out.  Right now the orphanage consists of two tents for the kids to sleep in and another tent that us used for the kitchen.

They have 29 kids there now but when the 4×4 gets fixed on the truck, Jaco has plans to pick up 22 more kids out in the bush to bring back to the orphanage.  That should hopefully happen in the next couple of weeks.  Jaco eventually wants to build houses that will hold around 350 kids and he is waiting on God to provide the funds to make it happen. If you are interested in taking part funding the houses you can check out their website for the orphanage at www.mozambique-orphans.co.za.  The website is up and running right now so check it out…they are also currently in the process of updating it…so we might even end up on it…how cool huh?

We have also spent time preaching to different churches.  It has been a blast.  These churches are amazing…their worship songs blow my mind…no instruments, just amazing singing, yelling, clapping, and dancing.  I wish everyone could experience the worship here…it is really amazing.

We have also spent a lot of time doing a healing course called Elijah House.  It is something that is bringing a lot of healing to our team and is also a great ministry tool for us to use in the future.  I am learning a lot about myself and why I do and think some of the things I do.

We also spent the day at the beach the other day for Lindsey’s B-day.  Most of us got a little burnt.  The water there is so warm and just super blue…it is straight out of a postcard…

We will be preaching at two churches this Sunday and then we will finish up our healing course on Monday and Tuesday before we head out to the bush for a few days…

Oh…and the sunsets overlooking the lake are amazing…

Thank you for keeping us in your prayers.
