I wanted to use what will possibly be my last blog to thank all my supporters back home.  God has surrounded me with incredible friends and family.  God used many of you to make this trip possible.  Raising $14,300 seemed really hard at first, but after seeing the consistent generosity of everyone I was not worried at all.  There was never a point in time where I felt the support would stop.

The support you have given has really impacted this world three-fold.  First of all, many people have come to know Christ through God’s incredible plan in letting us share Christ with them.  Many people have seen deliverance and healing.  I know multiple men in Africa who received deliverance from alcoholism.  In addition, many incredible ministries who are already doing incredible work have been able to receive support from our world race teams.  We’ve built drainage ditches, remodeled rooms to host missionaries, and just been able to love and encourage many of God’s heroes around the world.  And lastly, God has used this past year to change my life and prepare and equip me to live the rest of my life making disciples of all nations.
My plans for the future are as follows.  I will be moving back to Birmingham and will start the Masters of Accountancy program at the University of Alabama Birmingham in the fall.  I hope to finish the program and pass the CPA exam by December of 2012.  Over the past year, my desire has increased to own by own business one day.  I’m not sure how far into the future this may be.  If anyone has any advice please let me know.  But I hope the next few years will provide me with the jobs/learning experiences to work toward hopefully owning my own business one day in the future.
The end goal of owning my own business would be to make disciples of all nations.  I hope God gives me the opportunity to learn quite a bit, and impart that knowledge on people in the developing world (maybe Central America).  I think teaching business principles can lend itself easily to men’s discipleship.  Just have to see how God puts it all together.
And lastly I just want to thank my immediate family.  I told my family about the World Race the day after I found out about the opportunity.  There was no hesitancy in supporting me.  Immediately they told me they would support me through the whole process.  Both my parents helped me get prepared for the race.  My dad told me he would cover any of the support that did not come in.  Mom and dad you truly deserve an incredible thanks.  Also to my two grandmothers, Mama Jean and Mammaw, I know this past year was not easy for either of you, but your prayers and support helped me throughout the race.
