To redeem things from my last blog in which I shared about the toughest times on the race, this blog will simply recall some of the greatest moments. There are certainly times when I have to stop and ask myself if this is all real. Days and activities can be so fun its hard to believe the amount of blessings God has bestowed upon us.
So here are the Top 10 “Is this really my life?” moments from the past year.
10. Going to my first European soccer match in Romania.
9. Playing and winning in softball in Nicaragua.

8. Watching the NCAA basketball tournament at our favorite Nicaraguan restaurant, Terry’s, while eating a cheeseburger and dipping my fries in ranch dressing.
7. Playing golf on our off day in Ireland then stopping for lunch and having a Guiness with our Irish friend, Clive.
6. Eating all sorts of fresh, exotic seafood (crab, shark, lobster…) on the day after Thanksgiving in Zanzibar.

5. Spending time walking around beautiful cities such as Antigua, Guatemala and Siam Reap, Cambodia.

4. Spending two different days with a friend from college who is a missionary to the Congo, Alan Dennis, in Nairobi.
3. Having a “guys day” in Romania for Alex Cole’s birthday. We played laser tag and watched Toy Story at the IMAX theater. We were supposed to ride go carts, but those were too expensive.

2. Being treated like royalty in Kuala Terenghanu, Malaysia for a day. Our friend Nadine took us on a boat ride, treated us to lunch, and also took us bowling in the afternoon. We stopped by a member of the church’s house for cinnamon rolls then had chicken curry for dinner.
1. Playing in a sanctioned professional soccer match in Tanzania with my adopted team for the month, Rukwa United. I scored a goal but unfortunately was called for offsides.
