The past few months of my life have been filled with change. I’ve moved out of my house, I got a job, and I’ve encountered Gods love in a way that has changed me forever! But more change is on the way and I feel like my whole life leading up to this point has prepared me for where God is calling me next. Beginning in September, I will be spending 11 months backpacking across 11 countries in Asia, including Japan, China, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Mongolia! Ministry varies from month to month, depending on the needs of each country, but I will be caring for orphans and the homeless, building churches, ministering to sex trafficking victims, and just sharing this insane, unconditional love that I’ve experienced!
As I think ahead to what the next couple of years will bring, a huge mix of emotions flood my mind. I’ve never been so far from home. I’ve never been on any sort of mission trip. I won’t be familiar with the people, the territory, or the culture. I don’t know if I’m excited, scared, or anxious. Maybe a mix of all three. But one thing I do know, God is with me. And in that I find my peace.
