Well, my name is Kyla and I am a native Texan who has always felt drawn to foreign countries!
Although I have never lived outside of Texas, much less traveled to many places outside the state, my heart has been overseas for as long as I can remember! I am so excited to share more about my journey to this point with you and for the things God has in store for me through this part of my story!
I love spending time with my friends and family doing anything that makes me laugh and allows me to have a good time! I dig card & board games, So You Think You Can Dance, The Sing-Off, music, and being a goofball! I strive to enjoy life as much as possible and not allow the evils of this world to rule my daily walk. I LOVE people and hearing the intricate details that make them unique. I love sharing my heart with others and building lasting friendships. I enjoy organizing things (I know, there aren’t many of us out there) and getting my hands dirty with whatever task needs to be done. Gut-busting laughs truly do heal the soul!! Music plays a huge role in my life and I enjoy sharing my music library with others! I have aspirations to travel all over the world so I can explore what else is out there!!
Hebrews 10:35-36
Do not lose the courage you had in the past, which has a great reward. You MUST hold on, so you can do what God wants and receive what He has promised.
“Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us. It is not just in some; it is in everyone. And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
– Nelson Mandela, Our Greatest Fear
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
– Mark Twain
