Earlier today…..

There I sat at the table on a folding chair, staring at my computer screen full of numbers, data, and other logistical materials. I needed some perspective.

Naturally it was then the Lord chose to have this conversation with me via my friend Matt Patch on Facebook:

Patch: How are you, how are TC’s [Training Camps] going?

Me: They’re going. It’s craziness, today the high school kids come. Oh boy!
Patch: Haha,
yeah but can you even wrap your mind about the lives you are
changing… seriously. You can’t do it. For every life that changes at
TC they in turn change who in turn changes… I’m getting a headache
thinking about it. You have the best role ever.
You’re the conductor of the Kingdom Train.

Me: Hahaha, I love that! Thanks. I needed a little reminder that coordinating transportation and staring at spreadsheets is actually bringing kingdom.

Patch: That’s
just the shoveling the coal… its the hard work, but once you do it
you see the flames ignite and the train start to move. Then you get to
enjoy the ride for a while.

Me:  Fabulous analogy. Seriously. Especially because the word that the lord has given me for this is fire.

Patch: You’re bringing it Kyla… like seriously. Creating momentum right now.

Thank you God for loving me enough to remind me through the simplest of conversations
that you have put me here on purpose. Let’s get this train ROLLING!
