P Squad Debrief in Manila: Visiting An Old Friend
This is a picture of one of my dear M Squadders, Katie Cartwright with these two beautiful boys last March.
You may recognize the little man on the right as the boy from my last blog. I have been laboring over remembering both of their names and am humbled to admit that my memory fails me. The little guy is Iman (I have no idea how to spell it!), but I cannot remember his brother’s name.

These two spend the duration of their days sitting outside Kids International Ministries’ gates. I believe they have a home, but from what I can gather they are only there to sleep at night. Throughout the rest of the day they would jump at any and every opportunity to hang out with us.

Last March these guys spent a lot of time hanging out with Katie and some other gals running a basketball program for the girls in the orphanage. Through their time spent together Katie developed a DEEP love for these two guys and would treat them to lovely things such as ice cream cones every once in a while. She even bought them each shoes.

It was a joy for me to see Iman again; to see he’s grown and is still happily loving on and getting love from KIM and World Racers. He and his brother are just one small example of how God is using both organizations to love on even “the least of these”.

Question from last blog:
How many children are in the orphanage now?
 Answer:
To be completely honest I don’t know the exact count. There are two orphanages, one in Manila and one in Malaybalay, where we spent our first month in Oct. ’08. I know the orphanage down there in Malaybalay has somewhere in the vicinity of 35 children. That is a huge increase from the 7 that were there in ’08! God is so good!

*Disclaimer: I apologize for the time gaps between blogs recently. I no
longer have access to internet from my home, so it is a bit trickier for
me to get online for blogging. Thank you for your grace! And don’t
forget to ask more questions!*
