I sat in the middle of the dimly lit room, shadows dancing on the walls opposite the candlelight on the coffee table. I sat quietly waiting, although for what, I was not sure. I closed my eyes and listened.

I had rolled my old office chair into the middle of the room in hopes that perhaps the solution be found there. I waited silently as I felt hands gently rest upon my feet, my shoulder, my head. I was quickly surrounded by a cloud of prayers, both spoken and silent.

I few days prior I had taken a hard fall on a tile floor. I landed with all my weight on my left side, coupled with the momentum of some quick movements. This resulted in a few bumps and bruises, but primarily a very painful flaring up of an old shoulder injury. I had spent 2 days literally carrying my left arm around with either a sling or my right arm to take the weight off the left shoulder. A few days of attempted rest and self medication had yielded little to no relief.

I sat, trying to receive the healing be prayed over me. Gradually I felt the number of hands diminish until there were no longer any on me. The hands had left me, but the pain had not. What now?

I chose to remain, remain, remain, remain. I prayed.

I felt a hand fall on my left shoulder. With this hand came what seemed like an unreasonable amount of pressure bearing down. It was unlike the previous hands laid on me. And so I sat.

As prayers were prayed I began to feel the weight of the hand on my shoulder slowly lifting until it was no longer on me. I was feeling more than just a hand on my shoulder. I was feeling the pain, the problem in my shoulder being extracted. I literally could feel it being pulled off of me.

God used a man to lay his hand on my shoulder and literally took the pain off of me with that hand. I felt God in the form of a man heal me. I felt Jesus.

Praise the Lord for allowing us to be Jesus with skin on! THANK YOU GOD!!!!
