The
question was, “What do you hope to accomplish by going again?” I have prayed
over and pondered this question for a few weeks in attempt to put together some
sort of response. Here is what I’ve come up with…

  Personally
I hope to allow God to continue to wreck and refine me. By stepping out of my
comfort zone again I hope to become more vulnerable before him. As I experience
more things in various cultures and countries my comfort zone has grown, and so
I as I step into a different position leading a group out I hope to continually
operate out of faith as I move into unknown territory, physically and
spiritually.

  I
hope to empower people. This is a two-part thing. I hope to help the World
Racers recognize their identity in Christ, the gifts they have, and empower
them to use them. While discipling them, I hope that we as a group will
likewise encourage and empower the contacts we work with in each country.

  Practically
speaking I hope to be the hands and feet of Jesus. The actions themselves are
sort of irrelevant to me. I am willing to allow the Lord to use me in any way.
Physical labor, preaching, feeding the hungry, whatever it is he will give me
the tools I need to accomplish his will.

  Ultimately
I want Kingdom. I want to live it, share it, see it, be it. We’re going to heal
the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, and bring glory to the King of
kings! We will fearlessly declare the name of Jesus in every nation. We will be
sacrificially obedient, whatever that may look like.

 Maybe
that answers the question….and maybe not. The accomplishments listed are fairly
immeasurable and perhaps vague. Honestly I am not sure what to expect besides
God showing up and doing some amazing things. That’s what I hope to be a part
of. You can be a part of it too!
