As you may know, Christi and I got to go on a special ops mission to Brasov this past week. Our main objectives were to set up stuff for Awakening in September. (Awakening is the first annual World Race “reunion” which will take place in Romania). Here is what our mission consisted of:
– Find lodging, meals, and a meeting space for 200+ people for 5 days.
– Negotiate costs to fit within the allotted budget.
– Complete all “business” within one week.
So, Christi and I came to Brasov with essentially no leads on where to start, sort of unsure of how we would accomplish said tasks. And I am here to tell you that we didn’t do it. There is no possible way that the events that took place over the last week were a result of anything that Christi or I did. The only answer: God moved in Brasov this week.
What we did……
Started with no direction for lodging, meals, or a meeting space.
What GOD did……
Provided an AFFORDABLE prospect that included all three!!!
What we did…….
Wrote a proposal outline our group needs and costs……and got denied.
What GOD did…….
Instilled in the manager, a desire to give us a second chance!!!
What we did…….
Met with a missionary couple to ask for help and alternate ideas.
What GOD did…..
Initiated the beginning of a partnership that will likely result in World Race teams serving with them!!!
What we did……..
Rewrote our proposal……and got denied, again.
What GOD did……..
Completely changed the manager’s mind to accept our FIRST proposal with no changes!!!!
What we did…….
At the beginning of the week prayed that God would have his favor rest upon us, that he would provided, and that we would accomplish the required tasks within the allotted time (before we had to leave).
What GOD did…………..
You better believe he answered those prayers!!!!!!!
Turns out when God is your business partner there really ISN’T anything to worry about. IWho knew that working on the logistics side of things would get me all pumped up?! t’s just another classic example of trusting the Lord……..and I LOVE IT!!!!
