It is that time of year again. The time you gather with
friends and family to celebrate God’s gift to the world and to share delicious
meals and good times. Although the surroundings are different than what I’m
used to for Christmas, I also get to participate in the “usual” activities.

I am surrounded by my teammates who are my brothers and
sisters. We are planning a delicious turkey dinner with all the fixin’s
(however we do have to kill and pluck it ourselves). We have a tiny Christmas tree
with snowflakes cut out of newspaper as ornaments. We even have a poster with
the countdown until Christmas on it. We are planning a delicious Christmas
brunch as well as yummy snacks all day and we hope to watch the movie Elf
together. We have even decided to do a gift exchange and have each drawn a name
to determine who we will be giving gifts to.

There are certainly things I will miss this Christmas,
however I am delighted to experience Christmas in Kenya. Despite the
geographical gaps between friends and family back home, I have confidence that
the joy and spirit of Christmas will extend between us. God’s blessings are
just as evident here in Kenya and he has certainly surrounded me this holiday
season.

To my dear family, thank you so much for your love and
support and for embracing this opportunity that God has given me to be his
hands and feet to the nations. Your sacrifices are not unnoticed and God will
honor your obedience. I love you all SO MUCH!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!
