Ladies and gentlemen, I am one step closer in the process.
This week, my first batch of support letters will be mailed to my friends and family and my first video announcement will be uploaded to Facebook.
Perhaps sometime next week these envelopes will be reopened and the letters, that have kept the attention of the perfectionist side of me for weeks, will be seen by someone other than myself, finally. And they will maybe, skip to the bottom and see kyadouglas.theworldrace.org. Then they may immediately type it into the nearest mobile device to see, what is the meaning of this peculiar letter.
The letter you have received is nothing more than an informative invitation.
Informative? I tried to give as much background information as could comfortably fit in a one page letter. If you happen to have any more questions, you can contact me personally or comment below.
Invitation? You may or may not feel led by the Lord to donate, pray, or tell other people. What I didn’t get to put in that letter is, I have no clue how all this is going to work out, but I have the choice everyday whether or not I will trust the Lord. It would be disadvantageous, for me to ask you as my friend or family to make a compulsive decision to give or even make you feel like you have to, as that is not the Lord’s will according to 2 Corinthians 9:7. Therefore, I want to make it clear, this is an invitation, not an obligation.
