Purpose
A loaded word that has taken on multiple meanings in my life within the last month. As month 1 of the Race was coming to an end it was hard to choose just one story to write about or just one lesson God has been teaching me because the stories and lessons are many.

Wrapping up January I spent most of the days serving at the school where we painted murals just the week prior. All it took was one day at the school to fall in love with the children, and suddenly the waking up at 5:30am was of no inconvenience. One day it was especially worth being at school because a girl named Sydney accepted Christ! Then later that night the other girls on our team came home from a Bible study where a single woman and her 3 children came to Christ!

In Costa Rica a consistent theme I was finding in my daily Bible readings is that God has a purpose for everything. As I breezed through the stories in Genesis the words became so loud to hear that God has an intended purpose for everyone and everything. Nothing slips by the sight of His eyes, no prayer goes unheard, and no evil is too bad to overcome. What a beautiful way to start a new season of life, to wake up every morning with the prayers of,
What is my purpose?
Why am I here?
Who can I serve?
"The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway. For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.-Mother Teresa
