A few tidbits about me:
1. 7 is my favorite number so I’ll give you 7 bits about me (PS. I was born on 7/7)
2. I’m originally from Trinidad and Tobago (born and raised). Trini to de bone! I now live in scenic North Carolina.
3. I LOVE babies! (Always have. My friends warn me before we go to the mall – or any other public place that may have babies in the vicinity – to resist my temptation to hug and kiss every baby I see – with their parent’s permission of course :). Here’s a photo with me and baby Elijah (the son of one of our translators from Kenya during a mission trip in 2011). He’s one of the many babies who has stolen my heart. Pure joy!
4. I love to dance. My mom said as a toddler she would put me on the coffee table so I could dance and entertain her guests. She said I would seem to be in my own world when I danced. Dancing still takes me away. Spontaneous dance party? I’m in!
5. I always wanted a sister growing up. I have 2 brothers. God has blessed me to have amazing female friends throughout my life who I consider to be my sisters. I couldn’t imagine my life without them. Here’s a photo with me and a few of my wonderful girlfriends. I wish I could post a hundred pictures of the amazing women I’ve been blessed to call friend and sister.
Below is a photo of me with my Dad and brothers. Love them!
6. I love all things drums and beats. I’m from the Caribbean! It’s in my bones! I love calypso, reggae, salsa music, African drums, all of it. I’m so excited to groove to the different beats on the World Race 🙂
7. I am usually pretty even keeled and level headed but have been known to exhibit random bouts of pure, goofy, silliness. It usually catches those who don’t know me well by surprise.
Love is the reason I’m going on the World Race. All for His glory!
“Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.”
