One number has been in my head all day … 37. Today my squad found out when we will be "launching". Officially, I will be meeting some of my other squad mates in Atlanta on 9/6. Officially, we will be leaving for GUATEMALA on 9/10. WOAH!!! Now that I know when I'll get to see my beautiful and amazing squad mates again, I'm obsessed with the countdown and can't think of much else. I.JUST.CAN'T.WAIT!!
However, along with the realization of what the number 37 means comes the realization of a couple other numbers.
- $7,570 – This is the amount that I have yet to raise in order to be fully funded for the race. Once these 37 days are up, I will no longer be able to actively fundraise. I'm going to be using these next few days to speak to and meet up with as many people as possible! If you live in the Atlanta area, I would love to be invited to speak about The World Race to your church, with your small group, with your family & friends. I would love the opportunity to increase awareness of what the World Race and share my heart with you guys. This blog is an amazing tool, but there is nothing better than hearing in person how God has spoken to me about the World Race and what I hope to experience while I'm gone. - $750 – At training camp we found out about our travel insurance policy. Adventures In Missions has purchased great travel & health insurance on our behalf and is also allowing us to fundraise to pay them back. The insurance for the entire 11 months is $750, but I have until March 2014 to pay for it. If you'd like to donate towards my insurance, you can do so by clicking the "Support Me" link on my Home Page. This is the same process as it would be if you were donating towards my mission trip itself.
I appreciate everyone who has been here with me along this journey so far. All of your prayers, support, and financial donations have gotten me to where I am and because of you I will be launching in 37 days!!! The price tag on my mission trip is a very real reality, but nothing can take away from the sheer joy that I have in expectation of the next year of my life. THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!! THIS IS BECOMING REAL NOW! I'M A MISSIONARY!! AAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
