So I am taking this blog back a little because I realized I never told you all about “The Awakening” Conference in Brasov, Romania. Four squads, alumni, staff, teachers, and coaches all met in Brasov from September 21-25. It was amazing time of worship, discipleship, prayer, encouragement, community, and rest. There were people in their 8th month of the race, 5th month, and then us, who were the “newbies” and only in our 2nd month. It was a much needed time for me, to come together as a body of believers. There was one night we all got together in a laundry room at our campsite worshiping, praying for the nations, and praying for each other. I experienced God’s presence that night in the laundry room, however crazy that might sound! There is something bigger than you and me. There is a desire within each of us for something greater than what this world has to offer. A cause worth living for, and I want to run after that, whatever the cost! So below are some pictures that my squadmate, April Wright took of Brasov and a video that my friend, Andrea Wendel made of the Awakening. I hope it gives you a glimpse of what has been happening.
