1. You go to “camp” in Jeffery’s Bay for your first week here!

2. You spend a day of ministry picking up cow poop and putting it in a bag.

3. You fit 22 people in a white no windows van to head home from work at the HDC (Human Dignity Center).

4. You host a week long Holiday Club (or VBS) for about 200 kids with the help of about 20 youth from Lighthouse church.

 

5. You spend a day going on secret adventures with a fabulous friend which includes going to the tallest flagpole in the Eastern Cape. 🙂

6. You celebrate the 4th of July tradition of socks on the hands for breakfast!

 

 

7. You have to leave ministry one day because there is a toi toi (or riot) happening in the township.

8. You eat the cheapest breakfast you ever have had in a restaurant on the beach that serves animal art in your cappuccino. 

9. You get to go see penguins at a rescue shelter.

10. You get sick and have to miss ministry for a day… 🙁 But one of this kids (who you have bonded with) writes you a get well soon note! Thanks Yomelele!

11. You fall in love over and over with this country, its people, and what God is doing here.
