I asked a squadmate if I could share the words she shared with the world on my blog because it captures all what I have been going through this month.
Here are her words:
Some days on the race the Holy Spirit invades and your heart is set on fire for the Kingdom……You’re sprinting towards the cross. Other days, your sick, exhausted, weary, burnt out, ready to give up, trying to find a way out….. Your not sprinting anymore, your crawling.
Spiritual warfare is at an all time high amidst your squad. Sickness is infesting the house. Hearts are worn out. Tension is running high. Work days are long. Clothes smell. Showers don’t always work. The rain outside won’t let up. We’re missing home…. The list goes on….
But despite the brokenness we lay in bed at night while the dogs bark and the roosters crow – thankful that his mercies are new every single morning. We’re ready to wake up the next day and find those mercies and pick up the pace towards that cross. There’s no turning back.
Hey, U squad. We can do this. We can make it. We’re talking to the King who created the universe. He’s for us, not against us. He has us here for a reason. He brought us here….. He’ll see us through. He has more for us. Only 3 more months. For everyone crawling…. let’s pick each other up…. And run a dead sprint towards the cross.
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us” Hebrews 12:1
So I a making a declaration today…
THE ENEMY IS DEFEATED
in the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST
over my LIFE!
I may feel weighed down and attacked (physically) and just beat up. But it is a worthy cause for the sake of my King!
I’m singing this song over my life and claiming victory because there is power in HIS blood!
Lord, I need You, oh I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
