There must be something about eagles.

Right before I left on the Race I was coming home from my last day of work…

I sped over the hill and the action spooked this bird to fly up right in front of my windshield.

It was an eagle.

A bald eagle.

I watched as it spread its wings out and caught the wind just enough to give it some lift.  I stopped my car on the side of the road just to watch it soar until it landed in a distant tree.

The Lord was giving me a glimpse of what is to come.  He was releasing me to open my wings to a new adventure, the next season, the World Race.

I felt as if in that one encounter with the bald eagle He was letting the page turn in my book.  New Things were in store as I spread my wings out to catch the new wind of change.

Fast forward four months…

I was sitting on the beach in Penang, Malaysia when I looked up to see a bald eagle circling overhead.  Back and forth, soaring and swooping.  An eagle in Malaysia?  And I got to see it while sitting on the beach?

I felt it was the Lord speaking again.

My heart is filled with expectancy over what is to come with this month and the coming months.

I feel the Lord is closing a chapter and then letting me walk into a new one.

The coming season is unknown but I feel the Lord is going to lift me to greater heights with Him.
