The
race is not only about serving the Lord and sharing His love. It is also about
fellowship and learning to live in community with other believers. This past
month Team Rapha was partnered with Team Considered Lost to form the dynamic
duo Team Considered Rapha! Throughout the month, God revealed to me what it
truly looks like to have fellowship and community…

“Break time”

Sometimes
we need a break from the constant battles of life. We learned what it looks
like to have fun while also growing together as ONE body of Christ. We had
nightly trivia games at the dinner table, the most intense game of ultimate
spoons, dance parties in the kitchen, cooking together, late night snacks that
lead to great conversations, movie time, learning to play the guitar (I’m the
next T Swift), bowling, bon fires with Romanian smores, and much more!

Sisterhood— who needs boys?!?

Every
now and then, girls just need to be girls
J There were days that the girls got to work solo from the guys. This
lead to a lot of work getting done and wonderful conversations. We also had a
few days that we had girl time- gotta love junk food, facial masks, and
encouragement!

Serving the Lord

This
month has been such a blessing with our ministry. In the mornings we would do
construction- planting tree, creating a lumber yard, digging ditches, etc. In
the evenings we would go to different houses in the village and hang out with
the families. I was blessed to build relationships with some incredible
teenagers this month. We had fun playing soccer, going to choir practice,
playing phase ten, learning dancing, and talking about life! I miss them so
much already.

Holding each other accountable

We
are not called to go this job on our own. God has placed some wonderful people
in my life this year to really challenge me, hold me accountable, and walk
through the hard times with me. This month opened the door to some new
friendships and strengthened those that had already been formed. I was blessed
to partner with Kacie this month (the other team leader). We met each morning
for prayer and just to talk about life. We learned what it looked like to be
real with one another and also have fun! I had some other incredible one on
ones this month that pushed me to go deeper. Whether it was a morning run, a
late night cereal conversation, bus rides, or digging ditches, God placed those
people in my life and used them to strengthen my relationship with the Lord!
