Thank you for taking the time to read my blog!
My name is Kristin, and by the grace of God, I am what I am.
(1 Corinthians 15:10)
I am a sinner saved by grace.
I am 31 and from northwestern Indiana.
I am thankful to have been born into a Christian home.
I am a daughter, a sister, and a friend.
I am a college graduate.
I am a listener and a do-er.
I am a member of an AMAZING church family.
I am an advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities.
I am a lover of coffee, cupcakes, country music, reading, porch sitting, nature, Netflix binges, bonfires, and many other things – except chocolate.
I am a child of divorce.
I am a divorcée.
I am thankful for the emotions felt, trials faced, lessons learned, and deepened faith that resulted from my divorce.
I am prone to wander, to chase the idols of my selfish heart, but…
I am loved with an everlasting love, and
I am REDEEMED!
I am eager to see how God is going to use my story for his glory. As Corrie ten Boom once said, “This is what the past is for! Every experience God gives us, every person He puts in our lives is the perfect preparation for the future that only He can see.”
I am beyond excited (and a good bit terrified) for the journey God has set before me, and to be honest, it is something I never would have imagined myself doing. But God has been working in my life over the past few years to make my heart more like His. He loves with an everlasting, life-changing love, and because of Christ’s sacrifice, I am made new and am compelled to go and tell the world that LOVE HAS WON!
