If there’s one constant that comes with the World Race, it’s change! It’s a good thing I have an adaptable personality and don’t really mind that. Aside from all the change that comes every month with a new culture, new ministry, new living environment, new food, etc., we have entered this month with all new teams on B Squad!

The first 4 months of the race have been all kinds of good and hard, and I am thankful for my time with Tabula Rasa. I am thankful for the ways God molded us individually, and used us as a team. I am excited to continue watching God grow each person for the rest of the race. Our stellar squad leaders, Andrew and Alys, will be heading home after this month so they had to raise up new leaders to carry the squad forward from here. This then means that new team leaders had to be raised up, and teams were shuffled and dealt. I love that I can confidently rest in the guidance of the Holy Spirit as our coaches and mentor and leaders prayed over these decisions. I’m so excited for my friends – Doug, Audra, and Colleen – who were selected as the new squad leaders. I fully trust the Holy Spirit in each one of them, and know that they have a passion for God and this squad.

I am humbled and honored to say that I have been asked to be a team leader, and I would like to introduce you to my new team. We are PFOT (a.k.a. Pierced For Our Transgressions). Our first experience as a team involved piercings and tattoos for 23 of the team, which led to choosing our name. It is also, of course, a reminder for how the way was made for us to be who we are and share that with others around the world! We are quite a mixture, and I’m really excited to get to know this group and share life with them!

I know I’m a bit late with this blog, but allow me to introduce you to the team! We have a couple of really awesome guys! Nathan is a stand up guy who has been growing exponentially and it’s so exciting to watch. He and I were together on Tabula Rasa as well, so I’m excited to continue this journey with him. He is funny, intelligent, witty, and discerning. He brings great insight, vulnerability and challenge to the team. Drew is a hilarious, faithful and steady fella who keeps us on our toes. He has a strong yet gentle presence that reflects joy and peace, and works hard without complaint. He brings consistency, wisdom and plenty of laughs to the team. I look forward to getting to know him better! Now, you better prepare yourself for some powerhouse ladies! We have 2 Katie’s who are not short on differences in personalities! Katie C. is a compassionate and gentle woman. She’s the quieter one of the group, but we’re gonna break her out of her shell before long! She brings great vulnerability and faithfulness. Her heart for kids and joy as she loves on them is beautiful. Katie L. is an independent, strong, yet also very compassionate lady. She is steady and committed to people, and doesn’t know how to be anything less than excellent in all that she does. She brings a heart of gold, and tremendous encouragement and challenge to the team. Last, but not least, we have Gloriel who is a unique, passionate, funny, and bold lady. She is a powerful intercessor for God’s kingdom. She brings a heart of prayer and worship that is challenging and beautiful!

So, there you have it! PFOT is gonna make a pretty big mark, so beware!
