It came and went

That was the longest shortest week I’ve ever experienced! This was the description I felt, and that was expressed by many others regarding this last week of Training Camp. I’m told this will be how we feel about this upcoming year as well. I’m still processing a lot of what went on this last week, so another blog will follow, but I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for your prayers for my squad and I during training camp. It was intense and exhausting in every way, but oh so good!  Keep your eyes peeled for more on my training camp experience.

In other news, did you see that funding status bar up top?!?! That’s right folks!! I came home yesterday and decided to check my funding account. I was beyond thrilled when I saw that God has now provided for the second deadline I needed by December 18^th!  Not only that, but I’m just about 50% funded now! Say what?!?! Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who has supported me so far through funding, through prayer, through sharing in excitement!!! You may or may not know just how much your support means to me, and I’m absolutely humbled by everyone’s generosity.

On one final note, it is said that the only thing consistent about the World Race is change! We have seen this multiple times over just in the last 3 weeks. We’ve had changes on squads, a route was added, changes on teams; and during training camp, we had a change in our route. It could always change again, but for now I’m walking in excitement with where we are! You ready?! I’ll highlight the countries that changed, but B Sqaud’s newest route is: South Africa, Swaziland, India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Ireland, Romania, Turkey, and Albania.

I’m so excited to be able to set foot on the soil of TWO countries now that I have previously visited and longed to return to – India and Thailand!
