I have poured out my heart into this ministry. As excited as I am for India I am also very sad to leave here. I have had the opportunity to come alongside the pastor’s wife Ana to do woman’s ministry and home visits. I have done street evangelism, bible studies and tutoring. I have prayed every day to have eyes that see where I can do more and try harder. I came into this month with open arms and I am leaving with a full heart and many memories.
But wait there’s more it gets better! The exciting part on top of all this is the newest project that we helped pave the way for. Hope Church runs R.E.S.O. Minsitries, which basically consists of the team that came to Draganesti as missionaries to plant the church and then start a variety of programs through it. This was back in 2003 and now that it is thriving and growing it is time for change.
So our teams were thrown into creating R.E.D. Ministries, which will take the same concept of R.E.S.O. into the neighboring city of Craiova. There was no time to waste and I got wrapped up in my element designing and creating from such a passionate place of wanting to see this project take off. We all had a job of our own to pioneer so that this ministry can be ready to go as we leave. And we sure got to watch it come alive when we brought it all together.
A hard goodbye it will be this week, but how amazing it will be to see the Kingdom expand as our work soars through the hands of incoming missionaries and leaders. The pastor, Raul, and his family have poured into us and helped us learn and gain so much wisdom that I can’t believe it has only been a month since I stepped foot into the mission house. There are amazing people in this world working selflessly and tirelessly for the good of others and it brings me such joy to see.
