To the beautiful person reading this:

If you have come to my blog to read my letter it is because in some way you are a part of my life and have touched my heart.   Reading this means you are one of my people and that makes you part of a very special group that thrives all over this globe.  God never did have the word normal in mind when he made me.  For those of you who don’t know, I have made leaps and bounds in my faith lately and mission work is on my heart stronger then ever.

My first mission trip was to Ecuador and it inspired me in ways I can’t explain.  There is nothing I love more then giving all I have in order to serve others.  But next year as of July 2014 I will be launching into a much longer and exciting trip.  I have officially been chosen as a World Racer, where I will be part of a Christian mission team that serves 11 different countries in 11 months.  I will be involved in all kinds of ministry in these countries from working with orphans, teaching English, planting churches, feeding victims of natural disasters, and ministering to those trapped in prostitution due to human trafficking, all while spreading the Word and hope.

Will I be giving up my comfort and worldly ways? Yes.  Will I be living out of a backpack for a year without a job or bed? Yes.  Do I know that it is my time to step up and put my all into what I really believe in? Absolutely! I have seen with my own eyes the healing and change this world needs and I also know that “all things are possible through Christ who gives me strength” Philippians 4:13.

But as we all know nothing good comes free and God doesn’t call the equipped; he equips the called.  I now humbly ask you to consider partnering with me and donating to this cause.  I have to raise $16,285 and there are also financial deadlines I am required to meet.  Aside from this I will also be spending my savings in order to get to and from training and the mission, gear, and vaccines.   You can make a one-time donation or sign up to give monthly.  Keep in mind though it is not the amount that matters and that each donation helps.

So if you feel a tug at your heart and want to help do not hesitate to donate today.  I also ask that if you know anyone who might have the slightest interest in sponsoring me, pass this along! Show them the web site or just show them the letter so they can have the opportunity to give.

Thank you in advance for your support.  If you are not financially able I pray that you will still keep in touch and keep me in your thoughts and prayers when I am out of reach, you will be in mine.  You can also follow me on my blog here.  Lastly, feel free to ask me further questions, I would be happy to meet up and talk about this exciting adventure with you!

There are two ways you can donate.  Click the “Support Me” link on the upper left side of this page and follow the prompt.  Or you can mail a check along with a response card to Adventures in Missions PO Box 534470 Atlanta, Georgia 30353-4470.
