Oh for the love of writing! Let me start by saying that I love words and grammar and am thoroughly excited to get my blog going.  However, I struggle with projects like this where I have to squeeze myself into a few short and sweet paragraphs, but then again I also love a challenge.

I am Kristin Nicole Brewster and I respond to a wide variety of all three names that have developed into nicknames over the years.  My birthday is Cinco de Mayo and I will be 25 (cringe) when I launch for the World Race.  I am bold and love to love.  I am one of the happiest people in the world.  I have a huge family that I just can’t get enough of and I thank God for them everyday.  I appreciate my time with them even more right now having just moved back to Ohio after nearly 6 years in Miami.  I have also been blessed with some of the most amazing friends anyone could ask for and they reside all around the globe.

I am an artist, bartender, assistant teacher for a youth bible study and… missionary.  And I’m proud of it because as my mother says I never was made to be normal.  I have big dreams, big hopes and I like to look at the big picture.  I crave travel and the thrill of being in new cities, yet I also have such a soft spot for the small town I call home.

I am new to my faith but have made leaps and bounds this year, I’m on fire from the observations of my fellowship and mentors.  I refuse to be luke warm.  I live to learn and I read the Word every chance I get.  When I am not at one of several bible studies or church you can find me at the gym.

Outside is my favorite place to be.  I love food and have an outrageous sweet tooth.  Country music has my heart but I listen to the widest and strangest mix of genres ever, and yes I do love to dance.  I pray as often as I can for as many people as I can, daily.  And life has brought me many trials and tribulations that serve as part of my testimony that got me where I am today.

Mercy is one of my strongest spiritual gifts and I truly wish it was possible for me to talk to every person in the world, just to hear their story and give them hope.  I am a passionate, go hard or go home kind of girl.  I am also brutally honest.  You will always find me in good spirits though, as I have learned life is much too short for anything else.

I am so excited with what God is doing in my life.  I serve with heartbreaking compassion, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.  Which is why I was reminded to “Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10) just when I thought I knew what direction my life was going in.  Because I was called and so now I will “go and make disciples of all the nations” (Mathhew 28:19) with my smiling open heart and nothing but a backpack… I invite you to follow along.
