This month everywhere we go we ride in the back of a truck. This gives us and the Thailand people a chance to really see us. Being American we get many stares this made us think about what we could do about that. We thought that since this country has a problem with lust we could tell the women here what God says about them. God has called women beautiful, He has created us perfect. So we had the pastor here write the words “you are beautiful” on a piece of paper and every women who looks at us we show them this paper.
My favorite moment is seeing the look on the woman’s faces when they read the sign. Most look sad, but once they read the sign life comes back to them. They start smiling and waving at us. A few have even told us in English that we are beautiful too.
Through doing this ministry I have been uplifted and see myself on a regular basis as beautiful.
We will never know what impact this project will have on others, but I have seen the impact on my teammates. Everyone of us now sees ourselves as beautifully created and we can’t wait to get into the truck and drive around showing other women their true beauty.
