Traveling to Wujal Wujal, Australia has been an adventure.
First two teams stayed over night in a church, this was very nice as we have been sleeping in our tents all month. In the morning we woke up nice and early to get on a bus, but after we got to the bus stop we found out that the bus was canceled. We were delayed at the bus stop until 1 pm, but the area that we were staying was very nice and a chance for us to really see some of the town.
It was a three hour ride to the airport and once at the airport it was time for dinner, and sleeping in the airport. This was a great adventure. Many of us did not sleep more than an hour at a time.
We had to meet at 4 am for check -in and then it was time for a 3 hour flight to Australia. The flight was nice so we could find out how everyone was. At the airport we left with a contact that we did not know very well. This contact took us around Brisbane so we can really see the town. It was great fun.
That afternoon my teammate Mike had a kidney stone and so was taken to the hospital for pain control. He had to stay overnight and so everyone was worried about him.
After an hour of prayer in the morning (after Mike had called to say that he might have to stay longer) Mike called again and was ready to come back. That night we went to the church our contact is active in. It was a great night to see how this area thinks about God.
In the morning we traveled to the airport again to travel to Carines (don’t pronounce the r). After we arrived in Carines we were taken to Marbeea, where the three team were informed of what we are doing and then split up to go to our ministry sites.

My team will be in Wujal Wujal, this is a place deep in the rainforest and close to the ocean. The people we will be working with have very little contact with a pastor and so the people need help to equip themselves to be the leaders in the area.
Tomorrow we will be traveling for about 3 hours to get to our site since it is all off-roading and wet season.
To let everyone know our internet will not be very constant (or not at all) so I may not have a new blog until after Feb. 26 when we leave for Asia.
