If you are Facebook friends with me, you already know I feel in love with the Philippines! I found myself thanking God each day that He has chosen me to do this. This month was my favorite month so far on the race. Here are a few highlights with some fun pictures mostly taken by Angela Ketchum.

-Our contacts this month were William and Tara Miller. They met on the original iSquad. It was so great to spend the month with them and learn so much from them.
-We had lots of different ministries this month and a ton of freedom to do what we felt called to do. Opportunities included college ministries, house-to-house ministry, children’s home, sports ministry, and the list goes on. On top of that, we did some ATL (ask the lord). I was able to spend some time with some street kids and get to know a restaurant owner some.

-I wondered for part of the month if I missed my calling as a nurse. I spent several afternoons going to doctor’s appointments with a teammate and two nights sleeping at the hospital with another girl from our squad.
-We had some awesome off days this month! I swam out of a cave, went scuba diving, and got my third tattoo.

-God started teaching me that I often speak before I think and the importance of choosing my words wisely.

-Our squad leaders spent a week with us this month. It was so awesome to have Ben ad Alexandra with us before they headed home and to spend more time with Kelsey, Jamie, and Jonathan.

-God showed me that the Holy Spirit is working so actively in my team. He showed up in huge ways the last week of our month.
-I had so much fun serving alongside some new South African friends this month.

-Our squad got to come together for a mini-debrief in Manila at the end of the month. Holli Scott, our new squad coordinator, came out to meet us and get to know us. We were able to have some time in worship and send Alexandra and Ben home with lots of love. I loved getting to spend time with people from the squad I hadn’t seen all month and finally had chips and salsa at Chili’s. PTL
-I loved leading alongside Angela this month. God really brought us close together and I learned so much from her. She is an amazing woman of God and I’m so grateful for her friendship and the past month we had together.

The Philippines and month 5 were amazing. There were definitely parts that were hard but God was teaching me so much. I’m so grateful for all that God did this past month. I definitely feel a draw to the Philippines and can’t wait to see what God has in store for me with this country in the future.

We arrived yesterday in India. This month, my team along with Team Tilitha Cumi (Emily Kutz’s team) is serving with Sarah’s Covenant Home. SCH is a children’s home for special needs children. We will also be doing some village ministry. I can already see that God is going to break my heart with these kids. Please be praying for our month with these kids!
