Spiritual Warfare…

If you had asked me what I thought about this 5 months ago, I wouldn’t have had much to say. Today is a different story.

Spiritual warfare comes in many forms. Sickness. Lies. Division. Complaining. Oppression. Bondage. Chaos.
Being on the race is like an open invitation for the enemy to attack. Let me give you some examples:
Month 2 conflict and confusion hit my team.
Month 3 & 4 sickness spread through our entire squad.
Month 4 I believed lie after lie that I wasn’t wanted and was forgotten.
Month 4 every World Race debit card from 6 teams was rejected right after crossing the China border.

I feel like I could go on and on. Before the race, I thought people gave the enemy too much credit. I didn’t believe that Satan could twist a thought into a lie. I thought if you were sick it was simply because you caught a cold. If my card was rejected, it was simply a bank error.

To some of you this sounds crazy. Believe me, I understand. I used to be there. But now I can see that Satan set many of these situations up. All of us on iSquad are doing huge things for the kingdom. That pisses the Devil off. So naturally he is going to do things to stop us.

He will make us sick if that will keep us in bed instead of telling people about Jesus.
He will set conflict and confusion amongst a team to keep us from being unified.
He will twist your thoughts so we won’t be confident of who we are in Christ.
He will reject every debit card on 6 teams if that means we won’t go into a country that desperately needs Jesus.

It’s important for us to recognize Spiritual Warfare so we can fight back! I won’t let the Devil win. I have to give Satan credit for what he does but I also have a God that is so much bigger than any attack that Satan can make on me. My God will take care of me and fight on my behalf. Get behind me Satan!
