In 11 days, my world race officially begins (although it unofficially began the day I applied). With 11 days to go, I’ve been getting a lot of questions about what’s coming up so I thought I’d fill you all in.

For the past 2 weeks I’ve been visiting my family in Indiana and preparing for launch. On Thursday, I am driving back to Charlotte for a few days. While in North Carolina, I’m so excited to see two of the best people I know (Lindsay and Steven) get married as well as see everyone in Charlotte. I will fly from Charlotte to Chicago on Tuesday the 4th for Leader training. The rest of iSquad will join us on the 5th for launch! Launch is our last few days of training in the US prior to flying to our first country.

I’m excited to say that ALL of iSquad reached the deadline to launch. That means that all of the people I went to training camp with now have $6500 in their Adventures in Missions accounts, and we will all be launching from Chicago to Africa together! Thank you to everyone who has been praying for this and/or donated to my squad mates.

Our route has changed just a little bit. Our World Race routes are always subject to change, and my squad has now experienced the first of possibly several route changes. Our squad coordinator shared these with us via Facebook, so I want to pass the information along to all of you! The order of the Asian and Central American countries changed. We are also now going to Romania instead of Moldova. Here is our latest Route.

           September – Zimbabwe and/or Botswana
           October – South Africa
           November – Swaziland
           December – China
           January – Philippines
           February – India
           March – Romania
           April – Ukraine
           May – Honduras
           June – Nicaragua
July – Costa Rica and/or Panama

If you don’t remember anything else from this post, pay attention to this next part! I’ve had several people ask the best way to contact and/or stay up to date on what I’m doing. Here’s how:

Subscribe to my blog.
Over there on the left you will see the blank to fill in your email to subscribe to my blog. DO IT! Internet on the race can be kind of hit and miss so I might not be able to email or skype all the time. I will however be blogging at least 2 times a week (they may be posted all at once). By entering your email, you will receive an email every time I blog letting you know that a new blog has been post with the link.

Email me at [email protected]
Please email me. I want to know what is going on in everyone’s lives back at home. It may seem like nothing big to you but I promise it will mean so much to me. I’ll do my best to get back to you as soon as I can. But please email me; send me pictures; the works. I want to know what’s going on as well as need to hear from you all for moral support.

Ok, I think you are all caught up. I’m working on a few fun blogs this week so be looking for those. Thank you again to everyone who has supported me, prayed for me, and encouraged me. The past week has been so bittersweet but I know it’s going to be worth it. God has big plans for me and I can’t wait to see what they look like.

Heart and soul,
Kristi
