Today in society, there seems to be a check list of things to accomplish and a certain order they need to be completed in. After graduating High School you need to go to college. In college you find that perfect person you want to be with forever. You both graduate from college and head to the chapel. Once married, you’re blessed with the perfect job and have children and the list continues. I have found that God does not work in an orderly check list fashion with everyone!
Isaiah 55:8-9, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
5 months ago, I assumed my life was heading down a completely different road than what road I am traveling on now. Within a matter of weeks my life was flipped upside down. God completely shook my life around and opened my eyes to what else He had in store for me. Even while God was flipping and shaking my life around, He still gave me so much peace throughout every situation I faced.
Two desires God has given me is adoption and missions. During the season when God was totally flipping my plans around, He reveled a greater desire for missions. Not only was there a greater desire there, but He opened doors for me. I am now about to embark on a journey that the Lord has planned for me! Without God completely “messing” my life up, I probably would not be having the wonderful opportunity to go on The World Race and tell others about how amazing God really is!
So, as you can see, I gave up my plans for my life! I am ready to be sent and used by God for His Glory!
