Gosh I love Romania!

I love it, I love it, I love it!

  1. I love the warm hugs I receive on Saturdays from the gypsy children that come to Bible study.
  2. I love sharing the gospel through actions instead of words.  Its like learning a new language.
  3. I love how people assume I am from another part of Europe on the street.  “Danka, Hola, Italiano?” are frequent words that come my way.
  4. I love buying olives and feta cheese for $2
  5. I love doing sharades in the stores and seeing the excitement on peoples faces when I try to insert the Romanian words I know. Multzu mesc!(thank you)
  6. I love shoveling snow for the city.  As a Coastal Californian this first seemed like throwing sea shells back into the sea, but I now see its importance now that the left over snow is turning into slush on the pathways.
  7. I love going to the second hand store, making friends with the women who work there and purchasing a winter wardrobe for under $30 USD
  8. I love knowing that my testimony touched people’s hearts on Sunday
  9. I love random snowball fights in front of the bank
  10. I love being invited over for a traditional Romanian lunch at Ana’s house. Such a loving grandmother!
  11. I love praying for the sick to receive Christ
  12. I love working with our church family- Hope Church in Draganesti- OLT
  13. I love surviving record breaking temperatures
  14. I love pouring into communities that so badly needs Jesus and want to get to know Him.
  15. I love connecting with the people walking on the streets
  16. I love petting the fluffy stray dogs
  17. I love realizing the scarcity of fresh drinking water and its importance to conserve it
  18. I love realizing that I need time with God daily to fully function with a healthy mind
  19. I love listening to the pastor and his wife’s candid wisdom about not awaking love before it so desires
  20. I love knowing that I am loved by the Father, no matter what I have to offer.  That my heart and love is enough.  I don’t need to strive for the spotlight to make a difference. Humbly trusting that God is working in me and through me even in my moments of hardship and suffering.

James 3:13 “Who is wise and understanding among you?  Let him (/her) show it by his (/her) good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.”

When I just don’t have the words.  I have to rest that my actions are enough.

Te iubesc Mult!  (I love you very much in Romanian) Multzu mesc (Thank you) for reading my blogs and supporting me so that I can these people around the world.
