I find myself drinking in the Lord God Almighty at every
turn, through every sense. I feel him
as he wraps me in the cool breeze or warms my face with his rays of golden
sunshine. His soft grass between my toes reminds of how soft is the touch of
his mighty hand. Wild flowers tread on my olfactory sense, and his panorama all
around me is a grand display of his mighty creating power!
There is an instant and new revelation of Creator God that I
didn’t fully grasp before, but now find myself understanding a little more of
this facet of our God.
New Zealand is a beautiful
friendly culture, very hospitable. It was founded as a Christian nation, yet
much like the United States, has walked away from those values and forgotten
their God. Our contacts state that much of the nation has turned away and now
merely 7-10% of the country are true disciples of Christ.
Humanism takes the
place of Jesus’ command to love one another. Liberalism has replaced the moral law set in place by our Father in
Leviticus. Relativism has blasphemed
the wisdom of almighty God and labeled it no more than foolhardy. Materialism has deceived some of these
beautiful people in New Zealand into thinking that Jesus is not merely enough
for the satisfaction of their souls. Even though people drive on the left side
of the road and the toilet flushes in the opposite direction . . . God is
revealing so many similarities between this culture and my own. People have
become jaded with the church, hearts have been hardened, a new revelation is
needed!
I think God will be teaching me new and relevant ways to
share his gospel amidst this new age culture that has risen. I am ready. It is
time. Jesus let’s GO!
