When the Lord first planted the seed of the World Race I heard about it while I was serving on mission in Ireland two years ago.
Two years ago, I would not have survived the race but here I am two years later, finishing up month four in Africa of all places. Life has been a roller coaster since, but I’m so thankful to Him for taking me to Ireland.
The race sounded fun, but nothing I could do myself, the money is what deters a lot of people and it did me, for a while. But when the Lord gives you a thought, an idea or sometimes audibly tells you to do something and you listen, He shows up.
I started this journey June 28 when I got the phone call I was accepted without a cent in my account. Blogging was something I’ve heard of but never done and now I was given the task of raising all of this money. Whew, I’m exhausted just thinking about it! In Proverbs it says “Commit to the Lord, whatever you do and He will establish your steps” so that’s what I did. Was it easy? No. Was it worth it? Absolutely.
So 11 months later He provided the exact amount I needed on the last day it was due.
The God we serve cannot be limited. So if there is something in your life you want to do, ask God if it’s in His plan for your life. And if He says YES, than be confident He will provide, maybe not how you like it, or exactly when you want it but all in HIS timing.
I’m at a loss of words and thank you doesn’t seem near enough but THANK YOU. Thank you all for your love, prayers and support. It is because of each one of YOU I am here.
