Some more serious than others…
1. God doesn’t work by my schedule, or my time frame. Although I don’t agree all the time, His time is always better.
2. It is better to help just one than to look at a crowd of needs and help none because you can’t help them all. That ONE is more important than you know.
3. Street food in Nicaragua is never a good idea. No matter how good that chocolate covered banana looks. You will regret it later (trust me on this one).
4. Confrontation is a beautiful thing when it comes from a place of love.
5. Drop expectations.
6. Even the hardest people to love have a story. Get to know that story, I promise you it won’t be as hard to love them.
7. If you are traveling internationally, get a Charles Schwab bank account. ATM fees are the pits.
8. Sometimes people just need you to sit with them and listen. Don’t feel the need to fix them. Just listen.
9. If you have a dusty concrete floor, pour water on it first before sweeping.
10. It is always a smart idea to bring toilet paper with you wherever you go.
11. A lot of times you don’t always SEE God answer prayers before your eyes, that doesn’t mean He doesn’t answer them.
12. Pray in faith.
13. It is better to have a friend by your side when going on a grand adventure.
14. The world is way bigger than you think. Go out and see it. You will only crave to see more.
15. Packing cubes are a life saver.
16. Ice water is a gift straight from The Lord. Don’t take that for granted!
17. Honesty really is the best policy.
18. Don’t judge a book by its cover. A lot of times people are different than you think they are. No matter how good your intuition is.
19. Wash your water bottle at least once a week. It smells real bad, real fast.
20. I’m not always right all the time.
21. Spend more money on a sleeping pad than a sleeping bag of traveling to hot countries.
22. Tea tree oil does wonders. Lice hate it!
23. Embarazado does not mean embarrassed in Spanish, it means pregnant. Whoops.
24. Google translate is a genius invention.
25. Get really good at playing charades when traveling (unless you are fluent in every language).
26. People in some of the poorest countries in the world are the most hospitable people you will ever meet.
27. It is possible to fit 150+ people on a school bus.
28. Simplifying your life brings about so much freedom.
29. A lot of times we are the very answer to the prayers that we pray.
30. Always bring a travel sheet when going on a flight longer than 5 hours.
31. For whatever reason, peanut butter becomes gold when in another country.
32. Don’t hoard things for yourself.
33. Less makeup is more.
34. God still pursues us when we stop pursuing Him.
35. If you buy a GoPro, invest in an external battery pack.
36. Perseverance is a hard lesson to learn. But, I can persevere a lot more than I think I can.
37. People see Jesus through grace.
38. Negativity is contagious. BUT so is joy. So choose the latter.
39. If you want some time alone, stick some headphones in. You don’t even have to play music, but people won’t talk to you. 😉
40. Take time to tell people you appreciate them. You can never say it enough.
41. Maturity is not defined by age. Never discount wisdom from someone younger than you.

43. People are beautiful–believers or non believers. Many non believers reek Jesus.
44. In order to lead, you must first serve.

46. Public transportation is where it’s at. Granted you are hot, constantly hit on and pretty packed BUT it makes for a good laugh and saves ya lots of money.

49. Take lots of pictures, and write stuff down! You will want to look back on moments in your life that you may have forgotten about.
50. Life is an adventure. No matter where you are or what you are doing, it’s an adventure. So enjoy it to its fullest!
