This is our last week in Malaysia, WHAT?!
I have almost completed month one of the World Race. That blows my mind.
The lifestyle of a racer has not completely sunk in yet. This month we have had beds in a hostel, showers, running water, and even air condition. Next month we will be staying in our tents.
I have loved walking everywhere, even when I have to non chalently hold my breath as we walk by the butcher slaughtering a goat right in the street. I enjoy the urban way of life that does not require a vehicle. I have been on a bus 3 times in a month, and each of those were for recreation.
I have a new found love for Mango juice. We just walk up to the vendors in the street and they viciously go to work with their juicer then put it in a plastic bag with a straw. It's the best thing.
It has rained everyday this week. Yesterday it was a particularly heavy rain, so my team went to the park and played mud soccer. Running my heart out for the ball and slipping in the mud right as I reached it made me feel like a kid again. It was magical
The Malaysian people are so friendly and eager to know my name and where I come from. It has been such a comfortable first month. I do have to admit that I am already over rice and noodles. I continuously find myself with a smirk on my face thinking, is this my life???
All glory and praise goes to my sweet savior Jesus! I would not be here if not by his grace and divine appointment.
I’ve crafted a little video. Follow the link below!
