Nicaragua
I know month 3 has come and gone, but I would like to update you on my month 3 on the world race- NICARAGUA.
This month we lived on an island on Lake Nicaragua with two volcanoes, one active! We lived and worked with with CICRIN. Central Infantil Cristiano Nicaraguense (CICRIN) is the home for nearly 30 Nicaraguan children and adolescents. It is similar to an orphanage. Located on the shores of Isla de Ometepe, CICRIN provides for the children's education and basic needs. The children are given a home, food to eat, an opportunity to go to school, and shown and given the love of Christ. Our team along with another team, helped to care take care of the facility and just love on the children. We had the opportunity to take walks, play in the park nearby, swim in Lake Nicaragua, paint and draw, make bracelets, and play soccer with the children. It was beautiful, and the children were so sweet.
This month was full of great growth for me spiritually, illness (a nasty stomach infection), and love lessons from my Heavenly Father.
The children of CICRIN taught me how to have faith like a child and to show love in the simplest of ways. This is where I had the revelation that all my Heavenly Father wants me to do is to JUST LOVE…allow myself to be loved and to love like He loves…to be His love to the world, to His people.
