So… I had a yard sale this weekend to raise money for my trip! This past week I was so stressed out thinking about it, who knew planning and organizing a yard sale could involve so much! Satan was attacking me all week and there was so much spiritual warfare. I didn’t really sleep for 3 nights before, I just laid in bed thinking of all the things I had to do to prepare. The big day came… 4am came early but God gave me energy. I was nervous no one was going to show up etc. I felt like God had given me the number $1,000. Everyone thought that was a ton… especially for a yard sale, and it definitely is but I knew he would provide. It went SOOO great! there were people showing up when it was still dark out with flash lights! What! I had made a poster board showing the route of my trip and I printed fliers with my blog address and what I was doing. I found that once people knew what I was doing they were more likely to pay a little more for things or just donate money to support me. One guy just gave me a $50 bill and told me that God Loves all his children and will take care of them! Some lady wrote me a $75 check! God is so good and provides in the most random and amazing ways! At the end of the day I knew we had been steadily busy the whole day but even looking at the money I was like there is no way there is $1,000 there! Well we did the count and … drum roll… I made $1,519!!! How is this even possible?!!?! God is so faithful in his provisions! I seriously don’t know how it all got in there! And everything that was given to me for the yard sale I feel like just kept multiplying on the tables. I sold so much but some how the tables didn’t really look that much emptier, it was so strange. He is so good! We got the opportunity to share Jesus with the community where I had my yard sale! Telling people what I was doing opened the doors for lots of conversation. Most everything I sold was $1 … the most expensive thing was a couch that I sold for $30 and somehow it all added up! I really felt like we were doing an inner city missions project ( I had it at this random church that a girl in my bible study parents go to). I wasn’t sure about it at first but it ended up being the perfect location and I was so blessed to be able to have it there! Be encouraged in trusting in the Lord… believe Him when he says he is going to do certain things, provide certain things. He is faithful and He Loves y’all so much and will provide! He wants to bless up and will. I was so fortunate to have my mom, bible study leader and best friends there helping me, supporting me and sacrificing time and sleep to serve me! He really truly has blessed me with the most amazing group of friends and christian community to support me and fellowship with. I’m still in awe of how he provided that money, I just cant believe it. I’m so thankful for everyone who showed up and supported me! I got the opportunity to talk to so many amazing people that I had never met before that were so sweet to me and so very encouraging. If you came out on Saturday… Thank you so very very much! Thank you for partnering with me in Gods mission for His kingdom! Y’all were great! I am so blessed and God loves me so much I cant comprehend it! He blesses me everyday and if he is doing this much in my life before I go I cant even begin to imagine how he is going to rock my world next year. Be Blessed! Trust in Him with everything you have!
