Guatemala. It feels like home here. It’s beautiful in so many ways and I love it. The culture is so warm, the weather is perfect and the food is amazing. I feel like Jesus is just smiling at me.
Me and my team are staying with this beautiful couple, German and Susie. Their heart for Jesus and people is so inspiring. I love it. Every night they make a pot of coffee for us and it reminds me of home and its so comforting, night time coffee is my thing. This little village we’re in (xenacoj) is super quaint and everyone knows everyone. I’m so excited to see the relationships that I can build over the next 3 months just by doing everyday things like going to the store.
This morning we held a breakfast/devotional time for some of the widows and orphans in the village. It was so beautiful. I became besties with one of the widows. She’s 85 and through my broken understanding of Spanish she told me that all she has is Jesus, that He provides her daily bread, and that this breakfast was part of the Lords provision to her.
This ministry here in Xenacoj Is such a blessing to these people. They are practically meeting their needs while also feeding their spiritual needs. It’s such a blessing to be able to partner with them.
God has so much in store for my team and these people. I can’t wait to see what He does.Thank you for your prayers !
