Throughout the Bible God is always telling people to “remember”. He tells them to remember the great things He’s done for them and what He’s blessed with them. He told them to make altars and feasts so that they’d be reminded year after year of what He’s done.
Why do we have to be reminded year after year of what He’s done?
God has done so many incredible things, He created the universe, He freed His people from slavery, He sent His only son to earth to die for us. You’d think we’d always remember awesome things like that.
We take so much for granted and we forget where it all comes from. We become comfortable and content and we give ourselves the credit. We don’t give credit where credit is due.
I have been so blessed in my life, both at home and on the World Race. But I so often take it all for granted and take credit when something good happens.
God deserves all the glory and praise. We need to stay humble and thankful and He tells us exactly how to do that over and over again.
Remember
A quick update of my team.
We are in Lesotho, living and working in an orphanage with 29 kids. Throughout the day we play with them and love on them and we do a Bible study and activity in the afternoon. These kids are full of so much joy and they never stop smiling and laughing!
